Hi and welcome! I’m Jo-Ann and so happy you’ve found me.
I love words. And sentences. And stories. I process life through language, and seek understanding and growth through God’s word and by sharing experiences with others, whether that is through discussion, reading or writing.
My faith is a huge part of my life and I can’t imagine how I managed before I became a believer. I trust God is with me, and will provide me direction and comfort on this journey. He has been faithful, and I pray everyday to make choices that please Him.
I live in New Jersey with my husband. We have a blended family with children from our previous marriages. The kids are young adults, and between colleges and apartments, it seems we’re always moving someone, somewhere. Three of the four kids currently live with us, but that could change at any moment.
I am a Speech-Language Pathologist by day, but reader, writer, and Candy Crush* enthusiast by night. I own more books than I have room for, but can’t part with any. I’m working on that, but only half-heartedly.
I love to travel and see new places but hate to fly. I have a serious sweet tooth, love a good nap and going to the movies. Entertaining makes me anxious, so luckily I have a husband who loves to cook. I don’t eat anything that lived in a shell, no matter how it’s prepared.
I post most Sunday nights. I aim to write with openness and honesty about mid-life and what I’m learning. I hope you’ll join in the discussions and maybe we can figure out some truths together.
